Dear Parents,
Welcome to Academy I Middle School incoming 6th grade parents! Welcome back 7th and 8th grade parents! We are delighted to partner with you for the next few years for the academic, social, and emotional growth of your child.
The mission of Academy I is to develop the whole child, academically, socially and emotionally, by providing meaningful experiences that empower students to be independent thinkers, innovative problem solvers, and conscious participants in their school and future communities. By providing rich learning experiences and a comprehensive curriculum that addresses the needs a diverse student body who we are shaping to become the future leaders of the world. We look forward to working with you for these goals.
The Jersey City Public Schools requires all middle school students to wear uniforms. At Academy I, students must wear the following:
Gym Days (two days a week): Navy Academy I t-shirt or collared shirt Navy, black or gray sweatpants
Non-gym days (three days a week): Navy Academy I collared shirt Navy or khaki pants, mid-thigh length skirts or shorts
Shorts may be worn marking periods 1 and 4
Please use the link below to order your child’s uniform. Please be sure to place your order before August 13, 2021, in order to have uniforms available to you before the start of the school year.
