Phase 2 of our Reopening Plan

 

The district is preparing for Phase 2 of our Reopening Plan. Phase 2 would include in-person instruction for one third of the students at a time. Your child will be put in one of three groups (A, B, or C). Each group will attend for one week of in person instruction followed by two weeks of remote instruction. Full remote instruction will be an option for all students in this current 20-21 school year. 

 

In regards to in-person instruction, no classroom materials will be shared. All students will be assigned desks. Only two students will be permitted in the bathrooms at one time. There will be directional arrows for stairs and high frequency areas. There will be no group sports in gym class. AEP and Bridges students will be required to bring their school issued laptops back and forth to school for classroom assignments. 

 

Some things to consider:

• Siblings will be kept in the same group. 
• Transportation is not available for AEP or Bridges students. Bus tickets for the NJ transit buses will be available at no cost to students who live over 2.5 miles away. 
• You have the right to request all remote instruction later. This is a survey of your feelings at this time.
